What does Fall Season look like?
Mustang Hockey Fall Teams (Mustang Varsity & JV)
Mustang Varsity season will run from mid-August through early November and will play in the Colorado Prep Hockey League (CPHL) with approximately 12-16 regular season games, 2 tournaments in-state tournaments, 1 out of state tournament, and an end of the season league playoffs bidding for Nationals. This season will end before the CHSAA season begins.
Mustang JV(Midget) is run by the Arvada Hockey Association. The team will be playing in the CPHL Varsity Prep V2 for the 2023 season as well as having additional games in the Rocky Mountain Federation Hockey League during the 2023-2024 season.
CPHL follows high school USA Hockey guidelines for both teams.
Making the Mustang Varsity or JV(Midget) team does not guarantee a spot on the CHSAA teams.
PRACTICES
Mustang Varsity will practice on ice 3 times per week and play the majority of our games on Friday and Saturday, potentially weekday/Sunday games. There will be occasional changes to this schedule and players will be notified. In addition to video reviews, there will also be mandatory off-ice workouts twice a week, days and times TBD. We will be working with a trainer for all workouts.
Mustang JV(Midget) will practice on ice 2-3 times per week and normally play Friday, Saturday or Sunday. There may be off-ice workouts with a trainer depending on the team and budget.

Regional Silver Sticks OCTOBER (Ice Centre At The Promenade) - included in club registration
CCM Mowtown OCTOBER (out of state travel) - included in club registration. Player team travel is the responsibility of the player's family.
CPHL State Tournament NOVEMBER (varies) - included in club registration
POTENTIALLY Silver Sticks International Finals JANUARY (TBD) - additional practice/tournament/coach expenses will be billed upon acceptance of the finals. Player team travel will be the responsibility of the player's family.
POTENTIALLY High School National Tournament (TBD) - additional practice/tournament/coach expenses will be billed upon acceptance of nationals. Player team travel will be the responsibility of the player's family.
