Please have these items into the school no later than Friday, November 10th before tryouts. Coaches/managers CANNOT accept forms or payments.

If you do not have a JeffCo Student ID, you will need to obtain one.  Contact the Athletic Directory Secretary for assistance.

ATHLETIC FEES $175 DUE AFTER THE 'TRYOUT' PERIOD - AN EMAIL BY THE SCHOOL WILL BE SENT OUT WHEN THEY HAVE BEEN POSTED TO YOUR STUDENT ACCOUNT.

- Approximately 20-26 players on each CHSAA Ralston Valley High School Varsity and JV team

- Players need to have team navy helmet and team navy gloves.

- CHSAA only allows us to suit 20 players each game.

- Ice time is not equal and is merit-based.

- If you are currently on the Mustang Varsity or Mustang JV(Arvada Mustang T2) team, that DOES NOT guarantee you a spot on either team for CHSAA.  You must register and tryout.

-Tryouts will be in November at APEX.  Exact date and time will be published early November under the Fall CHSAA > Schedule > Tryouts webpage.

- Depending on the try-out schedule and registration numbers, tryouts may be 1-3 days for Varsity and 1-2 days for JV.  Those that were released from the Varsity tryouts should attend the JV tryouts.

- Check-in for tryouts will begin an hour on the first day in the ice lobby of Apex.

2023 CHSAA Varsity and JV Try-Out Schedules are now available (releases will be posted after each tryout on the schedule).

ELIGIBILITY:

• Students first, athletes second. If a player has two or more F’s, they are not eligible to practice or play in games. They may attend practice, but will not be on the ice. They will instead be working on school work.  Coaches may have stricter guidelines.

• If any player has two or more F’s at the end of the semester in December, they are automatically ineligible for the rest of the season (CHSAA rule).

• You must be attending Ralston Valley High School or be living in Jeffco County if your high school does not have a hockey team.

ZERO TOLERANCE:

Returning players will use their same game jerseys from last season.  New players for both teams will have a higher fee in order to pay for their new game jerseys, practice jersey, and required apparel. 

Additional items not included with the player fee:

• Optional Team bag (we will place an order once the teams are picked for those interested)

• Required Navy gloves (required for CHSAA season - team discount if ordered through the Team Manager).

• Required Navy helmet (required for CHSAA season - - team discount if ordered through the Team Manager))

• Additional apparel (will also be available to family, friends, or fans to order)

VARSITY FEES:

• $175 JeffCo Athletics Fee to JeffCo Schools via student account.  Subject to change - determined by JeffCo each year.

• TBD RVHS via student account (based on number of practices/games/players which vary each season)

Payment plan option:

For those that work home games, the final payment will be reduced accordingly. More information will follow once teams are picked.

JV FEES:

• $175 JeffCo Athletics Fee to JeffCo Schools via student account.  Subject to change - determined by JeffCo each year.

• TBD RVHS via student account (based on number of practices/games/players which vary each season)

Note: JV players that practice and play with Varsity will need to pay an additional TBD for the season. Those players will be determined as players who participate in over half of the Varsity practices and/or participate in over 8 Varsity games. Payment for these players will be due to the school prior to the start of Varsity playoffs.
